TechFleet Rental Refund and Cancellation Policy

At TechFleet, we strive to provide a seamless and innovative travel experience. We understand that plans can change. This policy outlines the terms regarding cancellations, refunds, and credits for reservations made with TechFleet.

 

1. Cancellation by Customer

 

a) Standard Prepaid Reservations

 

· Free Cancellation: You may cancel your reservation for a full refund up to 24 hours prior to your scheduled pick-up time.

· Late Cancellation: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the pick-up time will incur a charge equal to one full day's rental rate and fees. The remaining balance (if any) will be refunded to the original payment method.

· No-Show: If you do not show up to collect your vehicle at the scheduled time and location without canceling, the reservation will be forfeited, and no refund will be issued.

 

b) "Pay Later" / Book Now, Pay at Desk

 

· Cancellations made up to 24 hours before pick-up are free of charge and incur no penalty.

· Cancellations within 24 hours may result in a $50 cancellation fee charged to the card on file to cover administrative and holding costs.

 

c) Special Rates & Promotions

 

· Non-Refundable Rates: If you selected a "Non-Refundable" or "Steal Deal" rate during booking, the total amount charged is non-refundable. However, you may be eligible for a credit towards a future rental (minus a cancellation fee) if you contact us at least 48 hours before pick-up.

 

2. Modifications to a Reservation

 

· Modifications to the rental duration (shortening the trip) may result in a revised rate. If the modification lowers the total cost, the difference will be refunded to you. If you return the car early, no refund will be given for the unused days unless the early return is requested and confirmed at the branch.

 

3. Early Termination (Returning the Car Early)

 

If you return the vehicle before the scheduled drop-off date:

 

· Daily Rate: You will be charged only for the days you used the vehicle at the contracted daily rate.

· Promotional Discounts: If your original booking included a weekly or monthly discount, returning the car early may disqualify you from that discount. In this case, your rate will be recalculated based on the actual rental duration, and the refund (if any) will reflect the adjusted price.

· Refund Processing: Any overpayment due to early return will be processed within 7-10 business days.

 

4. Vehicle Downgrade or Mechanical Issues

 

While TechFleet maintains a modern fleet ("TechFleet"), mechanical issues can occur.

 

· If a vehicle becomes inoperable through no fault of your own, TechFleet will attempt to provide a replacement vehicle of equal or greater value.

· If a replacement is unavailable and your rental is cut short, you will receive a pro-rated refund for the time the vehicle was unavailable.

· Refusal of Upgrade: If you refuse a suitable replacement vehicle, no refund will be issued for the remaining days.

 

5. Non-Refundable Charges

 

The following charges are generally non-refundable once a rental has commenced:

 

· Fuel Charges: If you purchased a pre-paid fuel option (e.g., "Pre-Pay Fuel"), this is non-refundable regardless of how much fuel you use.

· Tolls & Citations: Any tolls, parking tickets, or traffic violations incurred during the rental period are the responsibility of the renter and will be charged post-rental. These are not refundable.

· Optional Protection Products: Charges for insurance waivers (CDW/LDW) or roadside assistance packages are non-refundable once the rental period has begun.

 

6. How Refunds Are Processed

 

· Method: Refunds will be credited to the original form of payment used at the time of booking or rental.

· Timing: Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank or credit card issuer.

· Deposits: If a security deposit was held, it will be released upon satisfactory return of the vehicle. Release times vary by financial institution.
